MEN’S CLUB TOURNAMENTS - 2022

 

 

The Pendleton Creek GC Men’s Club coordinates, sponsors and supports multiple friendly yet competitive tournaments throughout the year to promote the game of golf.

 

All members of the Men’s Club in good-standing are eligible to compete in any or all tournaments.

 

All tournaments are played within multiple handicap flights to encourage participation among players of relatively equal ability.

 

For the 2022 Season, Pendleton Creek GC Men’s Club tournaments include:

 

 

 

WEEKLY TOURNAMENTS (“YELLOW CARD”)

·       18-hole events

·       Stroke play format

·       Top 5 positions in each flight earn pro shop credit

·       Play anytime Wednesday-Sunday as part of your regular round

o   You MUST take a yellow card or declare intention to play prior to first tee

·       Unique and various scoring formats to add variety

 

 

 

MAJOR TOURNAMENTS

·      President’s Cup

o   Individual, 16-player elimination tournament

o   Match Play format

o   Qualify during month of May

o   Tournament rounds scheduled June through September

o   Net event, with maximum handicap permitted based upon flight

 

·      2-Man Best Ball

o   Four-ball, 16-team elimination tournament

o   Match Play format

o   Qualify during month of May

o   Tournament rounds scheduled June through September

o   Net event, with maximum handicap permitted based upon flight

 

·      Men’s Club Championship

o   36-hole event

o   Stroke play format

o   Held first weekend of August

o   Open to all members of PCGC

o   Flights based upon handicap

o   Gross and Net Competitions within each flight

(Men’s Club is the Award Sponsor of this club-run event)

 

·      Senior Men’s Club Championship

o   36-hole event

o   Stroke play format

o   Held second weekend of August

o   Open to all members who are at least 50 years of age

o   Flights based upon age and tees (White/Gold)

o   Gross and Net Competitions within each flight

(Men’s Club is the Award Sponsor of this club-run event)

 

 

 

“RYDER CUP” TOURNAMENT

·       Team event intended to build fellowship

·       Participants divided into multiple “teams”

·       Various formats (e.g. Alternate Shot, Four-ball, etc.)

·       Earn points for your team to help them become the overall champion

·       Held in early July
