- Pendleton Creek Golf Club has adopted a local rule that would allow an alternative to stroke and distance for out of bounds. As an option, you are now permitted to estimate the point where the ball first went out of bounds; bring the ball to the nearest fairway edge; drop within two (2) club lengths of that point, no closer to the hole; incur a penalty of 2 strokes. Note: This local rule DOES NOT apply to the par 3's!
Example - Pendleton Creek GC Hole #2 - Your second shot enters the driving range and goes out-of-bounds. Under the local rule, you are entitled to take relief from the point where your ball first crossed the out of bounds (A). Go to the nearest fairway edge (B) and drop within two (2) club lengths from that point, no closer to the hole. You are now playing your 5th shot.
Example - Pendleton Creek GC Hole #13 - Your tee shot goes out of bounds. Under the local rule, you are entitled to take relief from the point where your ball first crossed the out of bounds (A). Go to the nearest fairway edge (B) and drop within two (2) club lengths from that point, no closer to the hole. You are now playing your 4th shot.
